Hello Ms. Charulatha,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Sairam and I am a graduate student abroad. It has just been a week since I decided to find out Raagas for few songs, cine, and your Isai Payanam videos on Youtube was a perfect launch pad for this. Apart from You, being an amazing singer, I find your voice very bold, at the same time very pleasant. Its very surprising for me to see these two things going hand in hand. Hats of to you and your Divine voice!!! It would be great if you can have your own you tube videos describing more Raagas and giving more examples for beginners like me. (I know you have a busy schedule :( ) Yennudaiya Isai payanaththai thudangi vaitha ungaludaiya Isaiyum, Isai payanamum Vaazhga, Valarga Valamudan!!!

I have been watching all your isai payanam dvd's and i have to say more than anyone else you are contributing to popularizing classical music among philistines like me. I am truly learning karnatic music from your dvd's and now i can walk into a concert knowing something about the concert. Thanks a million for your good work.
