Isaignani Ilayaraja receives "Hreemkara-Call of the soul" - March 28th 2013

This morning I officially released my album "Hreemkara - Call of the soul" album and gave the first copy to none other than my greatest inspiration in music - Isaignani Ilayaraja ji.
In Hreemkara, my work for Times Music spiritual, I have selected auspicious sanskrit verses and set them to contemporary tunes for global appeal.
Raja sir has always been a great encouragement in my musical sojourn and I recall singing my Hamsanandi tuned Asai mugam marandhu poche before him. He told me to seek music within myself, to create what I believed in. He said "you know your music, so just create your own sounds and opportunities..". These words were the inspiration for "Hreemkara" 's creation.
Thank you Raja sir for regaling us with scinitillating music over the decades and for showing me how to respect musical divinity and seek it within myself.
